Listeners will first be presented with an overview of the shamanic use of hypnosis in different cultures. Several examples from different cultures around the world will be given to illustrate how ancient “medicine people” utilized ceremony, drumming, chanting, storytelling and guided imagery to help members of their community seek guidance, solve problems, and heal on emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. -P.
